Queensland Anaesthetic Reaction Clinic is a private practice of specialist anaesthetists with particular interest and expertise in the area of perioperative drug allergy. Our doctors are some of only a small number of anaesthetists in Australia who specialise in this area.
At QARC, after receiving a referral for investigation of a perioperative drug reaction, we gather information, conduct skin testing and other investigations where required, collaborate with other relevant specialists and work closely with patients, surgeons and anaesthetists to formulate safe plans for future surgery. We take the time with patients to explain all the details of their reaction, including education on the processes of anaesthesia and surgery. Our goal is to keep patients safe and reassured when they need to have anaesthesia again.
